Description

In recent years, blockchain-based business models have sparked by the emergence of blockchain technologies, and there has been a huge amount of investment through ICO. In reflection of this new phenomenon, this study identifies deceptive signals on blockchain market by investigating 6,671 completed ICO projects and 274 scam ICO projects. Based on the results, this study reveals 14 green signs and six red signs of successful ICO projects. Our preliminary results suggest that investors should not only consider successful factors, but also the failure factors. Furthermore, our study has implications for policymakers, ICO project entities, investors, and ICO platforms.
