Description
The panel will identify problems with the peer review system, not only in terms of its administration, but also in terms of the biases this institution of knowledge evaluation has on scientific thought. Issues raised will include incentive structures, the peer review class divide, and the general poor efficacy of peer review. The panel will also present alternatives to peer review and discuss their relative merits.
