Description
This paper aims to investigate the antecedents of collective security efficacy and its impact on group security compliance. Prior studies have mainly examined individual security compliance and have indicated that technology-based solutions are not able to eliminate the information security risks that organizations may face since many security related defenses are achieved only through human compliance. However, group level phenomena have been overlooked in research. This paper examines the group phenomena through the lens of collective efficacy. By examining collective efficacy, we expect to understand how group security compliance can be more effective, employee’s deviant behavior can be suppressed, and group cohesiveness toward security issues can be reinforced.
