Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly reshaping education by reorganizing interactions among teaching, learning, and instructional decision-making. Existing research has largely focused on isolated tools or specific learning outcomes, providing limited insight into how AI operates within integrated educational systems. This study examines an AI-enabled educational environment to explore how interactions among AI systems, teachers, and students relate to changes in instructional organization and student performance. Drawing on multi-source data generated from routine teaching activities, the findings suggest overall improvements in learning outcomes and indicate three interconnected mechanisms: improved instructional efficiency through reduced routine workload, stronger alignment between diagnosis and feedback, and a complementary division of roles between human teachers and AI systems. By linking learning outcomes with underlying instructional processes, the study provides system-level evidence on how integrated AI-enabled environments reshape educational practice and contribute to the emerging symbiotic relationship among AI, teachers, and students.
