Abstract

Islamic Fintech (IF) is the Islamic banking and financial alternative to existing Western democracies digital fintech systems. This Pakistan Islamic digital banking study engages a quantitative CB-SEM approach. It assesses ‘expert’ bank officer opinion regarding their readiness within the Pakistan banking system to support and adopt a new IF system. This complex Pakistan research shows four construct initiators (digital alertness, financial skills, digital astuteness, and technical competency) can help boost digital security assurance, reduce financial interoperability risks and reduce operational reluctance capabilities and so drive towards advancing bank officer IF adoption readiness. Other potential IF adopting countries may choose to include this study’s IF adoption drivers when encouraging their bankers and residents towards adopting an alternative digital banking system into their Islamic nation’s existing banking system.
