Abstract
This literature research paper investigates how dynamic warehousing, through artificial intelligence (AI), advances sustainable warehousing. This paper studies AI's role as a significant enabler of dynamic warehousing, concentrating on the research framework, establishing that AI drivers interacting with AI enablers advance AI-driven warehousing. It will also scrutinise AI's role in supply-side inputs and demand-side capabilities in modelling sustainable, cost-effective, smart, dynamic warehousing. With the evolution of warehousing and, in particular, the more extensive scale of facilities within the supply-demand chain, AI systems in real-time facilitate advanced warehouse operations, improving scalability, optimising storage, and enhancing fulfilment processes. This research paper examines the impact of AI on the operational efficiency of dynamic warehousing, encompassing inventory management, order fulfilment, space utilisation, and demand forecasting. The transformation of Australian warehousing to a more dynamic future that drives workflow optimisation will rely on advanced AI systems and intelligent technologies. With the growth of e-commerce and M-commerce, enhanced AI data network systems support further development of faster logistical solutions. The anticipated advantages of dynamic warehousing include agility in meeting market demands, optimised productivity and warehouse sustainability, all highlighting their importance in the future of warehousing. With the advancement of AI and associated technologies, dynamic warehousing will facilitate a shift towards greater operational effectiveness, reduced environmental impact, lowered operational costs and enhanced worker well-being.
