Abstract
The dynamic nature of the 21st century world of work presents significant challenges, such as technostress, which is stress caused by the use of Information and Communiocation Technologies. A review of the Information Systems literature shows a considerable gap between what is known about the “dark side” and the “bright side” of technostress, called techno-eustress. This research study responds to this gap by exploring the duality of the phenomenon. To consider this issue, this study formed the the aim: To explore, understand and explain the management of technostress in organizations. To address this aim, a review of the themes of trust, resistance to change and organizational culture are considered in this paper. A research approach consisting of a non-probability heterogeneous sample of participants in the UK abnd Spain is proposed, where a longitudinal approach over a period of six months is suggested. Data collection is proposed to include semi-structured interviews and observations.
