Abstract
Event studies, which gauge stock market reactions to specific events or happenings that may impact a business's operations, represent a relatively new but fast growing research approach in the information systems field. Building on four earlier literature reviews, in this paper we examine seventy-three event studies dealing with information technology. The purpose of this review is to assess the current state of information technology related event studies and to identify needs and opportunities for future research.
