Abstract

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) are information systems, product of the computer science and management, ERP´s allow companies to centralize all their information. Also, they simplify and automate their processes of the various functional areas of a company which allow companies to thrive in the economic challenges of the current society. However, ERP´s are an investment that can have negative consequences if the implementation is not adequate. This study has as a main objective to analyze one of the most important aspects of an ERP implementation: technology adoption from the user perspective and continuous intention to use. Without the user technology acceptance of the system and their use of the system in everyday work-related tasks the company cannot obtain the full potential of the benefits provided by these systems. In the present thesis it is added the influence of the Cloud model in the user adoption. The reason is that the use of the Cloud model is growing a lot in the adoption of ERP´s and its influence in the ERP market is increasing. Here it is proposed a cloud ERP adoption and continuous intention to use model, based on the information systems theory. The proposed model was validated for the Portuguese context through a survey. Data was analyzed using the SEM/PLS method. Results suggest that security and privacy, trust and cost are determinants for adopting cloud ERP. Use, collaboration, ease to use, usefulness, training, system quality, process support, as well as satisfaction lead to the continuous intention to use cloud ERP.
