Abstract

Organizations need to manage human resources efficiently and effectively. They aim to boost the performance of their employees through individual and team performance assessments. However, in the case of information systems and technology (IST) projects, there is still little research that focuses on the evaluation of human res.ources performance. To fill this gap, this article presents a study developed in an academic context, with the purpose of evaluating the feasibility of using various methods and techniques for performance evaluation in the concrete case of IST projects. As a result, a systematic multi-source performance evaluation, with repeatedly constructive feedback have enabled improved attitudes and behaviors as well as enhanced confidence in evaluation results. It was also found that the evaluation practices implemented had an impact on the success level of the projects.
