Description

Crowdfunding is an alternative approach to get small fund from a crowd by leveraging of Internet technology and social network. Yet, creators and backers use social networking site, in which it has a large number of users, to help promoting their campaigns. Backers consider various criteria, such as project information, current pledge, who already backed the project or the comments. However, the amount of online generated context is excessive. It is difficult for backers to follow the overall textual information and comments on the platform to make a backing decision. Therefore, in this research, we aim to propose a collective opinion mechanism to aggregate and analyze the social textual information and backers' engagement on a project. The proposed mechanism can recommend appropriate and good quality crowdfunding campaign to a backer who is looking for a project to back according to the user’s interest.
