Description
The use of high-resolution image sensors and their constant networking via the Internet of Things leads to many new application scenarios for computer vision systems. Examples can be found in agriculture, manu-facturing, autonomous driving, healthcare, and many more. However, the question that arises is how the use of such systems impacts the value proposition of organizations. When does the complex and sometimes expensive implementation in business processes make economic sense? These questions were addressed and analyzed with a qualitative approach as part of a mixed research method. Thereby, the most frequently prioritized objectives of the experts surveyed were to increase quality, reduce costs and increase efficiency.
