Abstract
Information systems (IS) researchers are increasingly concerned by the paucity of research on how user adaptive strategies toinformation technology (IT) influence IT adoption and success. Drawing on the Information Systems Success Model (ISM)and following a mixed qualitative and quantitative approach, this study examines how individual adaptation to IT impacts theadoption of a Cloud Computing application that has been deployed to almost 4500 workers in a company. The results showthat system characteristics and satisfaction significantly influence IT beliefs and usage. They also show that an activeadaptive strategy to the IT implementation significantly moderates the impacts of satisfaction on IT beliefs.
