Abstract

IS Development is Complex and is Dependent Upon the Interactions of Stakeholders with Diverse Intents and Constraints that Span Multiple Domains and Organizations. This Research investigates the Linkage Between Complex Adaptive Systems (CAS) that uses schemas and the development of Shared Mental Models and it appears that agents ahare schema fragments by providing the research question: What is the nature of this shared schema fragment and how does it structurally fit into an overall schema? This research seeks to articulate this fundamental structure using a case study research methodology. This research aspires to extend CAS theory through a contribution about this fundamental aagent schema structure and to provide an understanding of the mechanism involved in the development of shared mental models on which IS development is dependent.
