Abstract
As educational institutions seek to increase their efficiency and expand their reach, many are turning to distance education as a possible delivery mechanism. This paper discusses the Distance Education Candidate Model, drawn from telecommuting research, which may help institutions identify candidate students, courses and programs of study.
