Abstract

Autonomous and mobile robots are becoming increasingly relevant in the world of work. This paper analyses 63 German-language newspaper articles from 22 to 225 using a qualitative cluster analysis of the titles. The aim is to identify thematic focuses and public perception in order to identify new research topics in the form of hypothesis deduction. The analysis yielded six content clusters. The results reveal that the media primarily portrays robotics as a solution to the shortage of skilled workers, a driver of innovation, and a technology of the future. Two hypotheses were also derived based on the clusters and built the foundation for future research.
