Abstract

Digital innovations generate vast quantities of data, and data-driven insights are crucial for increased productivity and value creation. However, data workflows that emerge from digital innovations frequently lack integration with human systems, leading to high failure rates, unexpected consequences, and new risks. This research aims to identify the skills necessary for people to work more effectively with data workflows. Data workflows challenge traditional management structures and require new coordination methods and continuous skill development. The research will identify the skills and roles that best support the integration of data workflows, thereby facilitating the successful adoption of digital innovations.
