Description
To succeed in a competitive world, organizations must emphasize employee loyalty and optimize business performance. As digital workplace environments continue to transform how employees work, the question arises of what defines a high-quality digital workplace and how its quality affects employee loyalty, task performance, and overall business performance. Previous research on the quality factors of digital workplaces remains limited. Therefore, we conducted a qualitative study with focus group interviews. Based on these findings, we carried out a quantitative study (N = 201) to assess the quality of the digital workplace in terms of employee performance and well-being. Our findings reveal a significant positive effect of expected well-being in the digital workplace on task performance, employee loyalty, and business performance, while the effect of actual performance in the digital workplace on these constructs was not significant. These results highlight the importance of prioritizing employee well-being when implementing digital workplace solutions.
