Abstract
This paper first discusses the importance of computer technology for the developing countries. We then show that the developing countries are not a homogeneous group of countries. We discuss the diversity of the developing countries. The developing countries face a number of difficulties in making effective use of computer technology. We discuss some of them. Some possible actions to overcome these difficulties are then discussed.
