Abstract
The computer is the technology of today in the advanced countries of the world which are entering into postindustrial era by revolutionary breakthrough in Science and Technology. But it is certainly a technology of the future for Pakistan which is a developing country, passing through the initial stages of industrial development and trying to adjust itself with the technologies of the industrial stage of development for its fast economic growth in the shortest possible time. Today, our market is flooded with microcomputers. Whereas microcomputers have entered the market in advanced countries as personal home computers, they are being viewed as low cost replacement of minicomputers for business in less developed countries including Pakistan.
