Abstract
This paper explores the concept of health ecosystem. The concept will be defined in the context of municipal health care in Finland. The paper argues that the ecosystem approach reconciles the descriptive viewpoints of integrated care and health system by highlighting the interconnectedness of the actors and the dynamic nature of the environment.
