The nature of work and organizations is evolving as digital technologies become more deeply embedded in the workplace. New technologies have augmented the ways businesses create, access, and communicate information resources. This has resulted in transformations that alter the work itself and challenge core organizational aspects such as employee connectedness, engagement, the formation of meaning and identity in day-to-day activities. These functional attributes have enhanced the current incorporation by changing the nature of work and future demand of an evolving “new workforce.”
