The AI System Design and Interaction track examines how artificial intelligence is reshaping the ways organizations and individuals develop, deploy, and engage with intelligent technologies. With advances in generative AI, multimodal interaction, and data-driven decision-making, this track emphasizes two complementary dimensions. The first is AI system design, which addresses how intelligent systems are conceived, governed, and embedded into organizational and societal contexts. The second is AI system interaction, which considers how humans experience, collaborate with, and adapt to these technologies.
We encourage research that addresses critical issues such as transparency, explainability, governance, trust, human–AI collaboration, and the co-evolution of socio-technical systems. Contributions may span multiple levels of analysis, from individual and team interactions with AI, to organizational adoption and policy-level considerations.
The track welcomes interdisciplinary perspectives from information systems, computer science, psychology, sociology, behavioral science, management, and policy studies. We also embrace a broad range of methodologies, including design science, behavioral experiments, case studies, archival analyses, computational modeling, and field research. By fostering dialogue across disciplines and approaches, this track seeks to generate insights into how AI systems can be designed and interacted with responsibly, effectively, and sustainability.
