While the convergence of artificial intelligence and digital platforms might suggest uniform solutions, the failure rate of AI and digital transformation remains as high as 85% (McKinsey, 2025). The Fourth Industrial Revolution, focused on process automation, has yielded limited results (WES, 2025). Furthermore, AI is still subject to a productivity paradox, as highlighted by 2024 Nobel Prize winner Professor Daron Acemoglu from MIT. Although neglecting human dimensions is a classical explanation for AI failure, standard HR responses—such as training programs—often fail to account for the differences between corporate and national cultures. For instance, SMEs require different approaches compared to large corporations. High-tech companies operate differently than traditional firms. Moreover, the optimism towards technology is higher in China than in the USA.
