Abstract
The oversharing phenomenon on social media leads to many potential abuses, for which society is now trying to figure out how to reduce these abuses. One way is to just not overshare in the first place. In order to affect change in oversharing behavior on social media, implementation intentions are proposed. Using the theory of effort justification, this study is proposed to determine the differential effect of various instantiations of implementation intentions in order to effectively reduce oversharing behavior on social media.
