Abstract
Bachelor and Master degrees are a product of the 2000s in European academic education. Today, twenty years later, much of the transformation is still underway and new insights and leading examples from around the world influence curricula design. Recent findings show the importance of promoting future skills. We present an approach in German IS education to integrate these skills into our curriculum and to prepare our students for their future careers. Our major challenge is the examination and certification of the acquired and fostered competencies. This paper deals mainly with the educational aspects.
