Abstract

This paper describes the concept of a novel research into the use of business simulation games (BSGs) in management education, planned to be carried out in Polish higher education institutions (HEIs). Although BSGs have had very good reputation for years, the scope of their application at Polish HEIs has not been fully examined so far. Thus, the primary objective of this research is to obtain a comprehensive overview of this phenomenon at Polish HEIs. The research is to be organized into 7 tasks, while the techniques to be applied entail: a literature review, interviews with the HEI officials who are responsible for adoption and development of BSGs in the educational process, interviews with the heads of particular course programs. The interviewing methods to be adopted are: a survey/pen-and-paper perso-nal interview and a computer-assisted web interview, whereas the raw data collected is to be subjected to statistical analysis and inference.
