Description
The TREO presentation proposes a design procedure and guidelines for developing software ecosystems. The research presented in the paper is inspired by a practical problem: common products resulting from international cooperative research projects financed by the European Commission under the Horizon 2020 framework. Since many of the companies participating in such international research projects are small companies, the business model of software ecosystems was identified as suitable. A design process and guidelines are developed to create software ecosystems.
