Managing the Implementation of Cloud Based Technologies: Role of Competing Organizational Objectives
Start Date

Description
In organizations, the use of cloud computing is growing. It is becoming a new paradigm whereby organizations are leveraging cloud based technologies for beneficial business prospects. However, organizations are faced with competing objectives in the implementation of cloud based technologies, and they need a means to frame this problem space. Our inquiry seeks to conceptualize this problem space by identifying and examining the interplay between organizational objectives and the maturity of cloud computing within an organization. We use Nolan’s Stages of Growth Model as the theoretical framework to understand the patterns in the development of organizational objectives. In this ongoing study, we initially focus only on the initiation stage of Nolan’s model.
