Abstract
The ubiquitousness and pervasiveness of mobile devices are likely to change the provision and consumption of healthcare services. In this study we argue that due to the consumerization of Information Technology (IT), Mobile Health IT (MHIT) has a potential for being a critical catalyst for delivering patient centered care. However, relatively little attention has been paid to understand its role in patience centered care. Therefore, in this study we provide the current research landscape of this nascent field, which we hope would inspire further work in this area.
