Abstract
IT Governance is supposed to ensure the value contribution of an organization’s IT to its overall business strategy. Due to various contingency factors, such as organizational structure or company size, models for IT Governance cannot be off-theshelf solutions, but have to be designed for each company individually. While there have been numerous scientific contributions dealing with the way and extent contingency factors affect organizations’ IT, only limited research is available investigating the impact of organizational transformation on the establishment of specific IT Governance models. Against this background, the paper at hand reports on the findings from an action research study conducted at “Cerveza & Refrescos“, a Latin American producer and distributor of beverages.
