Abstract
A successful pilot project led to the inclusion of Lotus Notes in multiple sections of a required undergraduate MIS course at Bentley College to enhance the effectiveness of group projects. This paper describes the planning, design, development, management, implementation and use of Lotus Notes for collaborative coursework. The pilot project was assessed through informal feedback. The current experiment is being evaluated through a controlled approach, using before and after questionnaires. Preliminary results indicate that there are significant reservations on the part of the student in partaking in the collaborative approach, and a high level of enthusiasm for a new technology-supported approach.
