Abstract

This study analyzes the e-Health situation in Spain assessing the information on diseases prevention found in Websites of Spanish municipalities with more than 50,000 inhabitants. Analysis of municipal Websites, and especially the issue of e-Health, is still very under developed and studied; hence, we have identified what kind of information is provided in those Websites as a basis for the development of a ranking of Spanish cities based on services provided for citizens. This study’s contribution is the identification and categorization of e-Health dimensions proposing a model that is compatible with other studies that mention how initiatives of e-government have evolved into what is known as open government.
