Abstract

In recent years, sharing economy has been growing rapidly. Meanwhile, understanding why people participate in sharing economy emerges as a rising concern. Given that research on is scarce in the information systems literature, this paper aims to enrich theoretical development this area by testing different dimensions of convenience and risk that may influence people’s that may influence people’s that may influence people’s that may influence people’s participation intention in sharing economy. We will also examine the moderate effect of two two regulatory foci (i.e., promotion focus and prevention focus) on participation intention. The model will be tested with data of Uber users. Results the study will help researchers and practitioners better understand people’s behavior in sharing economy.
