Abstract
For the implementation of different types of Information Systems in general and Business Process Management Systems in particular many approaches are available. However most of the existing methods, frameworks, roadmaps or otherwise take an one-size fits all view on the implementation project and do not consider the specific situation at hand In our opinion the context strongly determines the success of an implementation project. In this paper a method is provided for the implementation of Business Process Management Systems that is based on critical success factors that are known to influence the implementation success. The provided method should improve the chance on a successful implementation project, as the project team can create a context specific methodology to implement a business process management system
