Description
This paper addresses the paradox of exploration and exploitation that individuals face in intra-organizational learning process in technology firms. We empirically examine cognitive flexibility of employees in two technology firms by adopting a reversal learning task adapted from the neuroscience domain. The results indicate that cognitive flexibility impacts individual creative performance, and also moderates the relationship between advice and friendship network centrality and individual work outcomes (work and creative performance).
