Abstract
The research question is to what extent the culture influences the implenmentation process of International Information Systems (IIS) process. A social technological approach gives the theoritical framework. IIS implementation process is defined within an organisational perspective, as well as the cultural dimension of the study, the Uncertainty Avoidance. A research model is then presented. A case study is carried out : four implementation process were studied in four national subsidiaries. The case study analysis provides four cultural traits and notes that an autonomy of local sites during the IIS implementation process is advisable for cultural reasons.
