Abstract

This article uses the example of the credit risk management process in a french bank, with a view to emphasize the impossibility for an anciently designed process to deal with the present demands of corporate customers. The reengineering of the decision process, by appointing Team coordinators in charge of all participants to the decision process, is the sole possibility for city banks to satisfy customers' demands (in terms of time required for granting loans) while soundly managing credit risk.
