Abstract

The position developed in this article is that the existence of a cross-functional awareness among the ERP users is strategic to guarantee a high level of integration. In this paper, we clarify the factors related to ERP implementation strategy as well as other specific factors which can explain its emergence among the ERP users. A research model is proposed as a theoretical model within which some hypotheses and propositions can be tested. Finally, we provide a research agenda about some important issues which deserve more attention from the IS community.
