Abstract

We question the processes from which ICTs cause changes in coordination forms on the one hand and, the organizational implications of such changes on the other hand. We develop a framework from the structurational perspective and use it to analyze the case of American forces during current operations in Afghanistan. We state that the enactment of ICTs influences coordination forms in a different way, with regard to the context of action and the organizational stakes.
