The Evolution of Research in MIS Quarterly Over Five Decades

Abstract

In this second editorial of MIS Quarterly’s 50th volume, I focus on the papers published in the journal for the past 50 years. In contrast to the March editorial, where I read all 160 of the editorials, I did not read each individual paper for this editorial. I have read many, but definitely not all. In order to process the 1,963 papers, I turned to AI with the help of Sandeep Suntwal (see acknowledgements).
