Capital Usuario: validación del constructo en un contexto Latinoamericano
Abstract
Resumen Si bien numerosos estudios se han centrado en determinar los factores que influyen en la adopción de tecnologías, pocos se han enfocado en estudiar las características del usuario que las utiliza. En este estudio se presenta la validación del constructo capital usuario, un constructo multidimensional, formativo y de segundo orden, que evalúa habilidades, actitudes, motivaciones y características cognitivas que poseen los individuos que emplean un sistema. Para realizar la validación se recolectaron datos de usuarios de un sistema ERP empleado en una empresa multinacional en Chile. Se analizaron las características psicométricas del instrumento utilizando el método PLS-SEM. Tanto el modelo de medida como el modelo estructural arrojaron buenos resultados luego de las pruebas estadísticas. La validación del constructo en un contexto Latinoamericano contribuye tanto a la teoría como a la práctica, particularmente en investigaciones futuras que podrían utilizar el constructo como antecedente de modelos de adopción de tecnologías. Abstract Although numerous studies have focused on determining the factors that influence the adoption of technologies, few have focused on studying the characteristics of the user who uses them. This study presents the validation of the user capital construct, a multidimensional, formative and second-order construct that assesses skills, attitudes, motivations, and cognitive characteristics of individuals who use a system. To carry out the validation, data was collected from users of an ERP system used in a multinational company in Chile. The psychometric characteristics of the instrument were analyzed using the PLS-SEM method. Both the measurement model and the structural model yielded good results after the statistical tests. The validation of the construct in a Latin American context contributes both to theory and practice, particularly for future research that could use the construct as a precedent for models of technology adoption.
