Organizations implement information systems to equip and enable their employees. Considerable research has focused on the use and acceptance of this new technology. This current research seeks to understand why an employee would want to move beyond the initial acceptance and use of the new system. Infusion represents a deep or extended use of the system. Infusion can have many positive benefits to both the individual and organization. The role of organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior on infusion has received minimal attention. This research calls for a survey of enterprise system workers to explore organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior and the role this plays in moving from pushing buttons to achieving infusion.
