Description

Nowadays, IS security is one of the most basic issues that organizations need to focus on. Despite huge investment made by companies to keep their systems safe, there are many security breaches, often caused by insiders. Most investments in security are for technological solutions; however, they are often insufficient and the literature suggests there is one significant element that has been given little attention, the human factor. This research addresses this area and expands current research by investigating the role of culture in security, answering the question “To what extent, if any, is there a relationship between national cultural dimensions and employees’ attitude towards Information Systems Security (ISS) policy compliance?” The research builds and tests an empirical model that shows the relationship of national cultural dimensions, security theory-derived constructs and awareness with employees’ compliance behavior to ISS policies in Ethiopian companies. A survey will be used to collect data. _x000D_ _x000D_
