Abstract
Research on digital entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial ecosystems in the information systems and entrepreneurship disciplines is growing rapidly. Despite growing research and practice, several conceptual and practice gaps persist. Due to persistent digital divides, it is difficult to accrue the benefits of these ecosystems equitably, especially within marginalized populations. Ecosystems for inclusive digital entrepreneurship require intentional design, stakeholder engagement, and policy interventions that address both structural and practical barriers. Advancing research, practice, and policy in this area is essential for fostering sustainable outcomes in the digital economy. With a panel that consists of academics and practitioners familiar with the constraints and strengths of such ecosystems, we hope to uncover rich insights that will address research, managerial, and policy gaps as well as propose some impactful solutions.
