Abstract
An increasing number of Information Systems courses aim to improve students' data analytics skills. Teaching such skills requires teaching data preparation practices. These skills were traditionally taught using tools targeted at technically trained audiences with coding abilities. However, there is an increasing demand to learn data preparation skills from non-technical audiences in business school programs. To this end, Tableau-Prep Builder (TPB) was used to teach Extract Transform Load at an introduction to analytics master’s level course in a business school program at the Université du Québec à Montréal in winter 2025. We note that TPB belongs to the same publisher as Tableau Desktop, the popular data visualization tool.
