Abstract
This paper explores how Scenario Based Learning [SBL] can be co-designed with students to teach social engineering concepts in Information Systems using AI chatbots incorporating role-play and storytelling. By leveraging the engaging nature of role-play and storytelling, the study aims to demonstrate how AI-driven narratives can enhance learning experiences and enable an understanding of social engineering tactics. This research focuses on developing and implementing an AI chatbot to create interactive stories illustrating social engineering scenarios. Using a design thinking methodology with co-creation, this paper evaluates the development of this novel educational tool. The study provides guidelines on how storytelling via AI chatbots can captivate learners and potentially enhance student comprehension and retention of complex concepts.
