Abstract
This study provides a novel approach that sheds light on organizational health by investigating complex dynamics of long-term financial performance and its connection to board member characteristics. Leveraging advanced analytical techniques, we uncover distinct patterns in long-term financial trajectories. Consequently, we examine the crucial role of board member characteristics in shaping these patterns. The results of the latter part indicate that board member characteristics, more specifically, time to retirement, play an essential role in long-term performance. At the same time, the gender ratio is found to be the least influential. These findings challenge prevailing assumptions and highlight the need for a more nuanced analysis of the interplay between organizational success and board member composition.
