Abstract

Food delivery apps (FDAs) are increasingly popular, offering convenience and variety. However, their impact on dietary choices of consumers remains unclear. This study examines how recommendations in FDAs influence consumers' food choices. A model based on the task-technology fit theory was developed, and an online survey was used to collect data. Findings suggest recommendations help reduce decision time, and that satisfied food choice motives lead to higher customer satisfaction. The lack of personalized recommendations in local FDAs is a limitation. Future research will use mixed methods to get more detailed results.
