Description

To establish a clear strategic orientation, the congruence of technological frame of reference (TRF) within the development teams is essential in Generative AI (GenAI) Proof-of-Concept (PoC) project teams. This study attempts to identify the important role of TFR congruence, and we further explore that acquiring specific enabling resources, such as collaborative domain understanding, data credibility assessment, and feasible AI techniques, enhances team TFR congruence and the strategic orientation clarity. A mixed-methods design will be adopted, including interviews and a survey of GenAI developers and project managers, to investigate how GenAI system development project teams construct a shared TFR during the concept positioning phase. It will offer practical insights for GenAI PoC team to avoid strategic failure by proactively establishing internal cognitive consensuality.
